Description
Some Allium (Allium) are edible while others are used as ornamental plants. Worldwide, there are at least 800 different types and many of them are in trend European gardens. The steady stalks have beautiful, dense flower balls that have either bell-shaped or star-shaped petals. There are both high growing and low growing varieties of the dainty onion bulbs, in a large color palette. Their bloom time is from June to August. Leek flowers come in joyful colors, are durable cut flowers, and are also suitable for drying. After flowering, even the seed pods have a decorative value. Allium offers many design possibilities: it can be combined beautifully with catnip, lady's mantle and ornamental grasses.
