Description

The 'Chantepleure' thumb watering can was inspired by a historical watering can used by gardeners in the Middle Ages and has survived the test of time. Apart from its aesthetic beauty, it is a gentle way to water plants - the holes in the bottom sprinkle water with a rain-like effect. The rounded vessel is carefully handmade and is also a decorative addition to your garden.

Application:

  1. Submerge the terracotta watering can in a water-filled container such as a rain barrel.
  2. Once the Chantepleure is fully submerged, place your thumb over the hole on the top to keep the water in the vessel as you lift it out.
  3. Walk over to your plant/s and hold the Chantepleure over your plants. Lift your thumb and let the water gently rain down on your plants.

This method of watering ensures that the water is always at the right temperature and the flow rate is ideal for even delicate plants.

Note:
Keep your 'Chantepleure' indoors during the cold winter months to prevent it from breaking in freezing temperatures.
