Culinaris Organic Salad Tomato Retillo

The Retillo salad tomato is a high-yielding variety of round, red-coloured fruits weighing approx. 70 g each. The ripe tomatoes can be stored well and are particularly split-resistant. They have a balanced, fruity flavour which is ideal for tomato salads and pesto.

Tips & care:

• Vigorous growth with drooping foliage.
• Cultivation in a protected location such as a greenhouse or under a cover is preferred.
• Medium-early maturity; resistant to tomato leaf mould.
• Avoid permanent high humidity.
• Seeds can be sown starting in mid-February. Plant outdoors after the last frost.
• Prick out seedlings and repot after the first leaf has formed. The base of the plants should be covered with soil to just below the cotyledons to allow development of strong roots.
• Plant at a distance of 60 x 60 cm or in a 10 litre container.
