Traditional poppies! A vigorous plant with a greyish-green, waxy foliage. The conspicuously large, pink-red flowers have a dark heart and attract many bees.
At the end of August, the decorative, large seed capsules are ripe and suitable for drying for decorative purposes. The poppy seeds can be used for bread and pastries.
