Description
This waxy runner bean is an important plant in crop rotation as it binds nitrogen from the air. Its deep yellow, stringless pods grow to around 25 cm long and can be washed, blanched and frozen for preservation. They are not suitable for eating raw.
Tips:
- Support required for the vines
- Needs warmer soil temperatures - do not put outdoors too early in the season
- For cultivation on stakes: plant 4 to 5 seeds per stake
- Harvest regularly for higher yields
- Harvest when young for tender pods
