Cherry maggots are the larvae of cherry fruit flies. Each fly can lay up to 200 eggs, usually one at a time, on half-ripe, yellow cherries. After about a week, the maggots hatch and dig into the cherries to feed on the pulp. In order to succeed in stopping this infestation, multiple traps need to be hung on each tree depending on its size. Use at least one trap for each tree and for every 3 m tree height. If necessary, add more traps in the event of a strong pest outbreak.

As a conventional product, it complies with the EC Eco Regulation EG 834/2007 as amended and may therefore be used in organic production.
