Description
This high-yielding variety which grows as a vine rewards you with bright orange pumpkins with a pleasant chestnut flavour. They can be eaten with the skin and are suitable for making tasty soups, salads, casseroles and many other dishes.
Tips:
- Cultivate at around 14 to 18°C for 3 to 4 weeks after emergence of seedlings
- Plant seedlings in the outdoors at the end of May - handle the delicate roots carefully!
- Direct sowing outdoors from mid-May
- Never plant directly on a compost heap
- High nutrient supply reduces the flavour and shelf life of the pumpkins
- Also suitable for growing in containers
- Harvest when pumpkins weigh between 1 and 1.5 kg
- Can be stored for up to 3 months
