Wildlife World "Anita" Woven Bird's Nest

"Anita" is a woven bird's nest with a large cavity that offers a safe shelter to birds in your garden during the cold winter months and a place to breed in the spring. It is handmade with hogla grass and recycled old saris by artisans in southern Bangladesh. The round entrance is reinforced with steel and extends slightly to make it easier for the birds to land. The nest can be attached to the desired location with the hooks at the back and the loop at the top.

The ideal location:
Place the bird's nest in a sheltered location where it can harsh weather conditions. Ideally, place the nest facing between north and south-east.

• Hogla is a type of grass that grows in Bangladesh and is often used for baskets and cushions. It is considered a weed and is usually removed by villagers as it can overgrow harbours, ponds and rivers.
